Nuestra Senora De La Soledad - Missions of California Educational ProjectsFounded 13th in the mission chain on October 9, 1791. Nuestra Señora de la Soledad's (named for Our Lady of Solitude) purpose was to facilitate travel between Mission San Carlos de Borromeo de Carmelo and Mission San Antonio de Padua.
Great for introducing students to California's mission history and emphasizing the importance of the missions to the founding of California (1769 to 1823).
